Editing

The Editor reserves the right to edit or delete contributions. However, this right will be used sparingly and for good reasons:

  1. inappropriate language will be removed,
  2. verbosity or repetition will be edited,
  3. misleading or inaccurate details will be cut.

All sensible contributions will be approved(with edit where strictly necessary).

Note for teachers:

You are welcome to use these pages as homework for one of your classes. Please make an entry to record this or send me an e-mail. If I know that you are using this resource, I will attempt to check frequently to moderate students’ responses. Ask your students to include their details: school, form & name. Check the moderated “Comments” page to mark their work.

Suggested Mark Scheme:

No entry = 0, Gobble-de-gook entry = 1, Clearly stated opinion = 6, Clearly stated opinion with a coherent argument = 8. Well informed comment with clearly stated opinion and coherent argument = 10.

Students’ email addresses:

Students need to provide valid email addresses so that they can be sent a password and perhaps a password reminder. We do not publicise or make no other use of these emails.
